Author and feature writer Frank Wolf will share tips and ideas from his 20 years of adventure writing. Whatever the outdoor adventure, there’s always an interesting story to be found within the layers of that experience. This interactive, virtual workshop will take you into Frank’s own writing process and provide ideas and inspiration to develop your own projects into fully formed, engaging stories.
Note: Attendees should come prepared with story ideas they are looking to develop or refine.
Frank Wolf is a Canadian adventurer, writer, photographer, and environmentalist. He is known for feature magazine articles and films that document wilderness expeditions around the world, with a focus on the Canadian North. His journeys include being the first to canoe across Canada in one season, and cycling 2,000 km in winter on the Yukon River from Dawson to Nome. He was named One of Canada’s Top 100 Explorers by Canadian Geographic Magazine and one of Canada’s Top Ten Adventurers by Explore Magazine. He currently writes features and an online column for Explore, as well as being a regular contributor to Coast Mountain Culture, Mountain Life and Paddling Magazine. His first book of adventures – Lines on a Map – was published in October 2018 by RMB.
