Trekking The Silk Road
Ladakh: Travel and trekking at 5450m – The Silk Road passes in the western Tibetan plateau mountain deserts of Ladakh. Monks, monasteries, historic Leh and it’s palace, nomads, yaks, villages and petroglyphs.
High, clear lakes on the Indian border where the Indus and Shyok (Nubra) rivers emerge from Tibet to flow into Pakistan. The highest drivable passes with Blue sheep, Himalayan Wild Ass, Bactrian Camels, but no Snow Leopard, sorry !
The mountains take me there but the people make me love it that much more.
