A humble, welcoming and soft-spoken individual, Sam Kuch, is a product of his environment. Born and raised in the lesser known region of the Kootenays, it’s a community filled with passionate skiers and downhome, throwback ski resorts. This picturesque, powder filled paradise has shaped and inspired Sam, allowing him to quickly reach new heights.
From breakthrough appearances with Toyota Canada & Forecast Ski Magazine, to award-winning segments with MSP Films and Blank Collective films, Sam credits his roots and growing up with like-minded individuals to be his inspiration for taking his skiing to the next level. From backyard jibs, to home-made ‘finger skis’, we reflect on Sam’s “”Frame of Mind”” and look into what it takes for Sam to go from a small-town shredder to ski industry superstar. Sam joins up and comer Cole Richardson, Jordy Kidner and veteran, Riley Leboe on the trip of the season, at Monashee Powder Cats.
