Alexandra Armstrong loves to ski. But that passion comes at a price. Sacrificing financial stability and a permanent address to chase the dream. Alexandra works hard all summer to ski all winter. But in the end she wouldn’t have it any other way. “Without following that passion and seeing if there is success in it, or even if there’s failure. You’ll be happy because you are doing what you love and that’s the most important thing.”Alexandra Armstrong is a Ski Patroller at Lake Louise Ski Resort and coaches at the Lake Louise All Mountain Club.

Daniel Thomson 800x600

Director: Daniel Thomson

Daniel is a Gemini nominated documentary filmmaker with over fifteen years of media experience. After working in the television industry in Toronto for several years, Daniel decided to escape the city and move to Banff National Park to re-introduce himself to his lifelong passion of skiing. Daniel has made story driven content for all of the major businesses in the Bow Valley including Banff Centre, Fairmont, Canadian Rockies Public Schools and Lake Louise Ski Resort. #Storyofaskitour is a shared passion project with longtime friend Jasper Johnson. Jasper and Daniel have been chasing powder together since their days skiing the green mountains of Northern Vermont while attending Bishop’s University. With this project they hope to tell thoughtful stories from the backcountry. Stories that tap into the heart and soul of skiing.
