From his early days chasing powder in Colorado in his youth to his present-day rituals in wild, hidden snowfields, Doug has found meaning, peace, and purpose through skiing. As the seasons shift, so does his relationship to nature, solitude, and community.

As the Founder and Creative Director of F4D Studio, my roots in Colorado run deep, infusing my work with a love for the outdoors and a passion for storytelling. Collaborating with my team at F4D Studio isn’t just a job; it’s a Passion. Whether it’s witnessing the birth of a creative concept or strategizing to overcome obstacles, I find endless content in the journey.
With over 20 years of experience in commercial photography and videography, I’ve had the privilege of partnering with esteemed outdoor brands such as Manduka, Rab, Icelantic Skis, Scarpa, and Osprey Packs, crafting visual stories that inspire and captivate. Beyond the commercial realm, my commitment to social impact has led me to collaborate with nonprofits like Outward Bound, the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center, Fishing The Good Fight and many more; culminating in the founding of my own nonprofit, Stories Worth Telling.
Fueling my creative drive is a zest for travel, which has seen me partnering with tourism industries worldwide, seeking out new land and cultures to weave into narratives. Whether it’s the mountains of the Rockies or the serene beauty of carribean shores, each locale brings its own unique flavor to my storytelling tapestry.
With an innate ability to foster connections and lead teams, I bring an infectious energy to every project, uplifting those around me and infusing my work with purpose and passion.
