Since March 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic has been pushing the limits of our healthcare system. The physical and emotional load placed on our health care workers has been massive. They were proclaimed to be heroes in our society.
This film follows three emergency room nurses as they use rock climbing to work through the many stresses of their jobs. Vikki, Mando and Ash strive to find balance in their lives while juggling nursing, climbing, relationships, motherhood and their personal endeavours.
While incredibly strong, talented and hard-working, these three nurses help remind us that they aren’t just heroes, but people too, just like the rest of us.
After years of dedicating himself to acting and outdoor sport, Casey Dubois has transitioned to the other side of the lens capturing sports in challenging places. Casey has developed his skills in shooting complicated scenes while helping the subject feel comfortable with the camera.
After wrapping up a career on the Canadian National Ski Team, Zac Hoffman has shifted his focus to filmmaking. Zac has found a skillset in crafting authentic and honest stories that reveal the true power and importance of sport. Their debut film “Crux” has received recognition and awards worldwide and the duo aims to continue telling human stories in the world of sport.
