Tucked deep in the Indian Himalaya is a 21,165-foot behemoth called the Peak of Evil, the face is split by a line so perfect and massive it pushed the skills of even the most renowned ski mountaineers. Papsura: Peak of Evil follows professional snowboarders Nick Russell and Jerry Mark from California’s Sierra Nevada to this remote corner of the world’s greatest mountain range as they harness years of experience in pursuit of the biggest line of their lives.
Morgan Shields is a filmmaker with a passion for spending time in and telling stories about the outdoors! Morgan’s love for action sports, and specifically skiing began many years ago ski racing on 300 vert in Minnesota. After learning film production in Los Angeles he now blends his two most unwavering interests of filmmaking and snowsports in Jackson, Wyoming.
In this beautiful mountain town and around the world, he’s teamed up with a ton of amazing collaborators, athletes, brands and production companies to create films, media and stories with personality and purpose.
When he’s not behind the camera, you’ll find Morgan somewhere outdoors, probably obsessing and dreaming about the next big adventure.
Morgan had been to the Himalayas once before in 2017 and had been eager to return ever since. Tagging along on for the Papsura expedition seemed like the perfect opportunity to return to the mountain range that has been on his mind ever since leaving.
