Synopsis

Five young explorers are given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity; to ski across Antarctica to the South Pole in celebration of 150 years since the birth of Roald Amundsen, the first person to reach the South Pole.

Not only will they have the physical challenge of “”man-hauling”” sleds nearly 1000km in extreme weather conditions, they will also face an internal battle – 50 days of isolation in the most remote environment on the planet, with team members who are essentially strangers.

The film explores themes of mortality, ambition, family and polar exploration history.
