The story of four ordinary Squamish climbers pursuing a big dream – to put up first ascents in the Canadian Arctic. With limited information and a lot of ambition, Amanda Bischke, James Klemmensen, Noah Besen, and Shira Biner embark on a human powered adventure. With over six weeks of food packed, they walk across frozen oceans, sea kayak, and hike along the east coast of Baffin Island. 75km away, their destination, the Coronation Glacier, has yet to see a climbing expedition. Whether they succeed or not, it’s sure to be a grand adventure.
James grew up in the small mountain town of Rossland, British Columbia. When he was in grade 4, he found his passion for filmmaking and started making movies with his friends. After graduating high school he spent two years attending Emily Carr University, before dropping out, choosing instead to pursue a career as a guide. Today, he lives in Canmore Alberta, where he works as an ACMG Apprentice Rock Guide in the summer and an Avalanche Technician in the winter, filming and photographing his adventures as much as he can on the side!
