The Secret Language of Trees is a cinematic music video by Alex Kingston that explores the unseen world of nature’s communication. Written during a solitary hike near Tofino, British Columbia, the song gives poetic voice to the forest — its roots, leaves, and wind — as ancient witnesses to time, memory, and human connection. Kingston wrote the music and lyrics, arranged and produced the track, performed the keyboard instrumentation, and created the video’s visual concept and storyboard. He also co-directed the final film, ensuring a seamless artistic vision from sound to screen. With haunting lyrics, ambient production, and immersive imagery, the piece invites viewers to pause, listen, and rediscover the quiet wisdom that lives beneath our feet.

Alex Kingston is a Vancouver-based songwriter, producer, and keyboardist with a long history of crafting original music rooted in emotion and atmosphere.
