Home > Fall Series 2026 > Christina “Lusti” Lustenberger
Born and raised in British Columbia, Christina “Lusti” Lustenberger is one of the world’s most accomplished ski mountaineers. A former Canadian Alpine Ski Team racer and 2006 Olympian, she shifted her focus from World Cup courses to the steep, wild faces of big mountains. Now based in Golden and Chamonix and an ACMG-certified ski guide, Lusti has carved a reputation for precision and boldness on some of the planet’s most committing lines—from first descents in the Selkirks and Baffin Island to groundbreaking expeditions on Great Trango Tower and Mount Robson. Humble and meticulous, she continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible on skis while inspiring the next generation of mountain athletes.
Hunter’s Moon captures Christina “Lusti” Lustenberger and Guillaume “Gee” Pierrel as they pursue a remarkable first ski descent on the East Face of Aoraki/Mount Cook in New Zealand.
It would become one of the final films Christina and Gee made together before Gee’s death in an avalanche on K6 in Pakistan in June 2026.
Christina joins VIMFF to introduce Hunter’s Moon and share some words about Gee, their partnership in the mountains, and the experiences behind a film that now carries a meaning beyond what they ever imagined.
