Presentation

Reducing Risk in Recreation: How to stay safe in the North Shore mountains

A conversation about recreating safely, and how Search and Rescue responds when you need help. Including suggestions from a SAR volunteer about how to try to stay safe through trip planning, taking the right equipment, and training. We’ll also explore how group dynamics can help keep you safe, how to plan for accidents, and what you should do in an emergency. This will all be discussed through the lens of first-hand experiences on Search and Rescue calls, including many on our local North Shore mountains.
