Biscuits is a doc-style ski film that follows freeride skiers Nat Segal and Erin Spong across the stunning backcountry of British Columbia, on the hunt for those elusive nuggets of pure joy we all seek in the mountains. From the Selkirks to the Coast Mountain Range, Segal and Spong travel by foot and helicopter, searching for terrain that excites and challenges them. But as their journey begins to push their boundaries in the name of progression, both skiers must confront their personal monsters in order to continue moving forward. With help from one another, a willingness to push through discomfort, and a healthy sense of humor, Segal and Spong prove to themselves time and time again that the juice is always worth the squeeze.
A veteran of the industry, Segal entered the scene as a competitive freeride athlete 17 years ago and has evolved into a film athlete, a producer, and a filmmaker in the outdoor space. Spong, on the other hand, was assistant editor of Freeskier Magazine before making the leap to be an athlete herself. In Biscuits, their complementary skillsets, paired with a shared thirst for adventure, bring their journeys to life.
