“Escape and Embrace” is a documentary capturing the life-altering odyssey of a young woman who defied oppression in Iran. From childhood challenges to grappling with societal pressures, the film chronicles her refusal to comply with the state religion and her evolution into an advocate for women’s rights. Faced with the intelligence agency of the Islamic Republic of Iran, she embarks on a daring escape, sharing a heart-wrenching tale of sacrifice and survival with her pedal strokes on the road.
