VIVID opens like every ski film you’ve seen before: hard-charging athletes, helicopters, epic drone shots, confidence, control — you get it.
Then, at the bottom of the first line, the women (yes, women) high-five. This isn’t that kind of ski film. And thank God for that.
Instead, VIVID borrows the visual language of a genre built on ego and spectacle, then quietly, gleefully subverts it from the inside out. What looks like a team trip of elite skiers becomes something else entirely.
Individuality, shared experience, and friendship turn ski lines into something luminous and occasionally ridiculous, in the best way. The trip isn’t about performance for its own sake; it’s about the way a group makes each person’s weird, specific, wonderful self shine brighter.

Storyteller at the Intersection of Adventure, Creativity, and Impact. Sara Beam Robbins dedicates her work to amplifying underrepresented voices and celebrating women in sports, creating films that inspire, empower, and challenge the status quo.
She is the co-founder of The Road West Traveled, an adventure-focused production company crafting cinematic, high-impact films for the outdoor industry. Sara directed and produced the first-ever 100% women ski film, Advice for Girls, and co-founded the ski and snowboard film tour, Girl Winter, celebrating women athletes and creators.
From ultra-endurance events to remote expeditions, Sara combines storytelling, technical precision, and athletic grit to capture the heart of adventure. Every project she takes on is an opportunity to tell stories that matter, empower underrepresented communities, and push the boundaries of what’s possible.
A wilderness Physician Assistant and lifelong creative, Grant has had a camera in his hand since the age of ten. His eye for capturing the raw beauty of human experience in wild places has shaped his work both behind the lens and in the backcountry.
