Scott Secco (he/him) is an outdoor filmmaker. His interests include mountain biking, watching over 200 movies a year, and baking key lime pie. He lives in Squamish with his partner, Evelyn.
What can we take from Hollywood movies and use in the backcountry for adventure films? Over the course of this 60 minute session you’ll learn best practices for how to shoot and edit an action scene. The workshop will focus on the basics of composition (rule of thirds, depth, contrast, and lighting) as well as editing (the 180-degree-rule, match cutting, eye trace, and j-cuts). If you like outdoor films, John Wick, and Mad Max then this is the talk for you.
