Tying in with a climbing partner means more than just working a few pitches or sending the crux together. It symbolizes an intersection of two approaches to the same sport, and how climbers at either end of a rope share similar goals. For renowned alpinists Ines Papert and Sarah Hueniken, the nexus of their aspirations comes as they both climb past the age of 50, inspired to keep pushing harder to achieve their full potential, while relentlessly working to better understand each other as climbing partners, as well as themselves.

Relentlessly curious, with stamina to match, she doesn’t shrink from storms or suffering: in fact, that’s what pulls her closer. She’s drawn to where the drama is – in light, landscapes, or the human quest to sidle up to the insurmountable and tap the joy that can be ridden there. National Geographic called her one of the planet’s top nine female Adventure Photographers who are pushing the limits.
As the Senior Creative Lead – Global Brand Storytelling for Arc’teryx for the last twenty years, spearheading logistically mind-bending expeditions in remote locations, Ange has been documenting rad humans having adventures in landscapes that dwarf them since 2009. She operates in two modes: full throttle, and off… in either mode, no matter what longitude, altitude or temperature she’s in, she’s going to get her shot, relish the adventure, and let her heart open wide.
When ‘Ange’ isn’t circumnavigating the globe with her camera, she does mom duty for her two year old daughter, Millie and plants her roots in Squamish, BC. This is her first film.
