Fall Series Live Artist | Elise Meakin

We are excited to announce our Fall Series guest artist: the talented Elise Meakin! She will be at all our October and November Fall Series shows at Centennial Theatre doing a live art piece inspired by our local trails and mountains, that will be auctioned off during the shows!

Through the use of video, photography and public speaking, founders Brent Seal and James Frystak are exploring the parallels between climbing mountains and climbing out of mental health struggles. Their goal through MINDvsMOUNTAIN is to bring awareness and enable dialogue around mental health. Meet Painter Jessa Gilbert | Mountain Art & Photography Show

Jessa Gilbert has had a busy few months: completed a 2,400 & 600 sq ft mural, several live paintings (including at VIMFF this week!), selling new art pieces, prepping for multiple presentations (including at VIMFF tonight!), and guiding at the BaldFace lodge. Meet Singer-Songwriter & Adventurer Thorin Loeks | Mountain Melodies Show

Thorin Loeks has biked and canoed about 15,000 km across North America camping, busking, songwriting, journaling, and filming along way and ended up recording a couple albums during the winters inspired by these experiences. He will presenting (and performing!) on Sun, Feb 11 at the Cinematheque Theatre.
